Panther Island is 2,800 acres of restored wetland and upland habitats situated in the northwest corner of Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary's 13,000 acres. Critter of the Week May 10: Florida box turtle
t.The Florida Box turtle is one of six subspecies of box turtle. This subspecies can be found in woodlands, marshes, wetlands, and swamp edges. They are omnivorous in the wild.
